When we are children we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind. – Patrick Rothfuss

So, jus what is a jiv?

To one, jiv(a) was a nickname given from a teacher to his student.  To many, jiv(a) describes:

A living being, or more specifically, the immortal essence of a living organism (human, animal, fish or plant etc.) which survives physical death.

The word itself originates from the Sanskrit Jivás, with the root jīv- ‘to breathe’. It has the same Indo-European root as the Latin word Vivus: “alive”. – Wikipedia, 9/21/2012

Staying true to its meaning, may this jiva forever help others to find a breath, or simply inspire them to jus jiv.
